Steve was a founder of the original Canoe Nova Scotia organization back in the 70’s, a past president of CKNS, and was a very long time senior instructor with our Canoe Instructor School as well as the Wilderness Tripping School, attended every Kedge Fest event, Parks Day event, annual meetings, and countless other events, and for whom the prestigious Steve Cook Volunteer Award is named after.
Emile Gautreau will preside over a drumming ceremony involving Dad’s ashes. They will then be spread following a north/south/east/west pattern over the water. All are invited to join on the water. Please bring a canoe, if you have one, but all paddle based water craft are welcome.
The party is July 7th, from 1-4 pm at the St. Mary’s Boatclub. RSVP’s are appreciated to 453-1595, or to my e-mail address, firstname.lastname@example.org.
