Adventure Day in the Future Halifax Wilderness Park

Friday, August 3, 2018 - 1:00pm to 4:30pm

Join the Nature Conservancy of Canada for a day of adventures in the future Halifax Wilderness Park! Participants will have the opportunity to try stand-up paddle boarding in Colpitt Lake, mountain biking on the McIntosh Run Watershed Association trails, or hiking a loop with many vistas around the lake with an optional swim. Adventurers will then have a chance to enjoy some snacks and learn more about the Halifax Wilderness Park.
This event is being run in partnership with Hike Nova Scotia, Trips By Transit, McIntosh Run Watershed Association, and Canoe and Kayak Nova Scotia. 

Participants will register for one of the available activities (water sports, mountain biking, or hike & swim). No experience required yet anyone registering for mountain biking must have access to a bike and helmet. The event will take place at Colpitt Lake (accessible off Herring Cove Rd.); the exact meeting location will be given upon registration.
