Backcountry 101 - Paddling Opportunities in Nova Scotia - Halifax

MEC Halifax and Canoe Kayak Nova Scotia present "Paddling Opportunities in Nova Scotia", just in time for the Victoria Day long weekend. This presentation will inform a paddler on how to get to where they want to go in NS, whether it's paddling an area of the ocean or in our lakes and rivers. This session will provide participants with on-line resources they can access, put in’s and take out’s, local paddling clubs, paddling outfitters and local knowledge of those areas. Canoe Kayak Nova Scotia’s website provides online map resources and other resources that the paddlers can access to get the most updated information.

If you always wanted to try to paddle more places in Nova Scotia, this session is a perfect primer to the 2018 paddling season.

Presenter: Adam Zita. Adam volunteers on the CKNS and Paddle Canada Board of Directors. He is the manager and lead sea kayak guide at East Coast Outfitters in Lower Prospect.
