Strategic Plan
CKNS is in the final year of a four year strategic plan focusing on providing opportunities for recreational paddlers across all of Nova Scotia. Work on this plan began in 2019 as we worked to make our organization more focused on providing essential services to our members. We examined our previous plans and balanced our initiatives with our resources. Working with a consultant and the services of the NS Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism, and Heritage, we adjusted our processes, vision, mission, and developed our strategic plan.

With a more effective organization, we will provide opportunities to an increasingly diverse paddling community. We will use the capacity of existing groups and clubs to provide events and training to all sectors and regions of our paddling community and use our provincial resources to support their activities. We exist to serve our members, with the board of CKNS working to put on events and activities that promote our mission to advance paddling in Nova Scotia.
