CKNS Community Mapping Project
The CKNS Community Mapping Project is now live! Thanks to everyone who participated in the beta test over the past year and a half. As a result of those contributions and the hard work of our CKNS Admin and board, the Community Mapping Project has now been released to the CKNS membership.
Boasting over 300 GPS-tracked portages, a couple hundred geo-located campsites, access points, and so much more, we think this project is the most comprehensive backcountry planning tool ever created in Nova Scotia and we are thrilled to see it live on our newly created members section.
This map is a living document and will be updated regularly, you can contribute to the project by sending us your trip logs, GPS tracks, and photos to mappingcommittee@ckns.ca. So make sure your membership is up to date, and start planning your next trip today!
