Sea Routes & Water Trails

Canoe Kayak Nova Scotia in conjunction with the Department of Health and Wellness, has developed a series of web based maps of our coastal areas called Water Trails that provide information on access and resources for those planning a coastal trip.

You can access public coastal access information from our CKNS Google Map or download directly in PDF format here:
Halifax area east to West Quoddy: Halifax1, Halifas2, Halifax3
Far Eastern Shore water access points for Ecum Secum to Guysborough, Country Harbour to Little Dover, and Canso Marina to Mulgrave
Halifax to Tantallon, Tantallon to Lunnenburg, Southshore1, Shouthshore2, Shelburne1, Shelburne2

Coastal Access Formation

On the Nova Scotia map, each section of Water Trail has specific public water access descriptions and also a short introduction for that part of the coast. The  public access descriptions are meant to be a help in planning your trip but do not provide complete tour details.
