The Town of New Glasgow is proud to announce the successful installation of the EZ
Launch One-Way Accessible Canoe and Kayak Launch. Fully operational for the 2025
paddling season, the Launch provides enhanced, inclusive access to the beautiful East
River for residents and visitors alike.
Situated at Glasgow Square Theatre (155 Riverside Parkway), the Launch offers a
user-friendly experience for paddlers of all abilities. Recent upgrades include an
additional dock and ramp at the bottom of the gangway, further improving accessibility
and enhancing the overall paddling experience.
Mayor Nancy Dicks said, “We are proud to enhance recreational access to the East
River. The Launch is a valuable addition that promotes inclusivity and encourages
outdoor activity, allowing more individuals to enjoy the natural beauty of our community.”
This initiative reflects the Town’s ongoing commitment to accessible recreation
opportunities. The Launch is available from spring to fall, weather permitting, and is
open for use by individuals, families, and community groups.
